The past seven days for the Blue Jackets have been a thrill on and off the ice.

Before their game in Newark Friday against the New Jersey Devils, Josh Anderson and Zach Werenski got the full rundown of NHL/MLB Studios and had some fun with Tony Luftmann and then the NHL Now crew.

Aside from the television spots, the two took some hacks with bats instead of sticks, given that they were in the same place as the MLB studios as well. We hear he wants a rematch, but yeah, Andy got taken yard by Zach. It was an absolute no-doubter to right. A real snipe on the ice, so we say.
Regardless of who is giving up dingers in wiffleball, they're both lighting up the stat sheet on the ice too, so it's cool.
Saturday night at home against the Coyotes also held some pretty amazing CBJ Foundation auction items. By pretty amazing, we're literally saying that nesting dolls with members of the Blue Jackets were one of the items.
And yes, the father of them all Sergei Bobrovsky had to show them off.
December 6 was an important day for a member of the Blue Jackets, as it was the 100th anniversary of Finland becoming a sovereign nation. Our Finn Markus Nutivaara was fealing proud and festive in playing for the nation that raised him.

December 5 in the first of a home-and-home last week against the Devils, we welcomed Dale Earnhardt Jr. into Nationwide Arena for a night of fun, games and recognition.

And finally, last Monday was also the Blue Jackets' annual day of service, where they went to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank and the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio to put in work for need-based families across central Ohio.
