Wild About Reading Supports Literacy in the State of Hockey
The goal of the Wild About Reading program is to promote the importance of reading and increase student literacy by encouraging kids to read inside and outside of the classroom. Last year, about 20,000 students from over 600 classrooms in the State of Minnesota registered for the Wild About Reading program.
The 2018 Wild About Reading program, presented by St. Paul Eye Clinic, provides K-6 elementary school teachers in the State of Hockey downloadable Wild About Reading Weekly Goal Posters, Reflection Questions and other fun materials throughout the month of March. The weekly Wild About Reading Goal Posters and Reflection Questions will challenge and encourage students to keep reading. Registered teachers will receive an email each Friday in March, beginning March 2nd, containing the content for the upcoming week. The content will also be available to download on Wild.com.
Registration for the 2018 Wild About Reading program is open until Friday, March 9th. Minnesota based K-6 elementary school classroom teachers who register by Friday, February 23rd will be eligible to win a classroom reading visit from a Minnesota Wild Celebrity!
