Donovan

The Ottawa Senators recalled Jorian Donovan on Saturday morning.

For the 21-year-old left-handed defenseman, this marks his second recall this spring. Donovan made his NHL debut on March 24 in Detroit. Two days later, the young man who grew up in the nation’s capital played his first career game at Canadian Tire Centre. In total, during those two games, he saw about 14 minutes of ice time.

Back with the Belleville Senators, Donovan has had time to play in just one game. He was in uniform Friday night when the B-Sens defeated the Rochester Americans 5-2 at Blue Cross Arena.

The Ottawa Senators have two games to play in as many days this weekend. They will first host the Minnesota Wild at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Then, at 5 p.m. on Sunday, they will host the Carolina Hurricanes.
