PLAYERS TO WATCH

Buffalo

  • Bowen Byram is expected to make his home debut after being acquired from Colorado in exchange for Casey Mittelstadt on Wednesday. He played his first game with the Sabres in Nashville on Thursday, scoring a goal and an assist. 
  • Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has made 19 starts in Buffalo's last 22 games, posting a .930 save percentage in that span. He has allowed two goals or fewer in six of his last eight games.

Edmonton

  • Forward Connor McDavid tallied an assist in Columbus on Thursday for his 100th point of the season, joining Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as the third player in NHL history to have at least seven 100-point seasons before the age of 28. He enters Saturday on a 13-game point streak.
  • Forward Adam Henrique was among the players added by the Oilers prior to the deadline, along with forward Sam Carrick and defenseman Troy Stecher. Henrique has 27 points in 30 career games against the Sabres.
