2016 Sk8-2-Gr8 Super Camp
Whether your child dreams of being the next Scott Hamilton or Filip Forsberg, is eager for a new hobby or looking to spark a new passion for the ice, this is their camp! It's the best place to beat the hot Nashville summer afternoons, too.
New to skating? No problem! All ages and all skill levels are welcome!
Sign up today to try this week-long ice skating camp. Activities include both on- and off-ice instruction.
The camp and all classes are managed and taught by our Scott Hamilton Skating Academy certified instructors, whose main objective is to instill a lifelong love for the ice. By the end of the camp, skaters will have graduated from their 1st or 2nd level of skating, learning 16 new on-ice skills. Classes include lots of fun off-ice activities designed to build strength, agility and balance like yoga, hip-hop and other dance classes, nutrition class which set up skaters for success when they hit the ice.
Alissa Czisny - 2009 and 2011 United States National Champion, Grand Prix Final Champion, Four-time World Team Member
Alexander Vlassov - Alexander is the 1977 World & European Silver Medalist as well as placed 4th at the 1976 Olympic Winter Games. After his competitive career, Alexander has dedicated himself to coaching younger skaters to National and International medals. The highlight of his coaching career has been leading his daughter, Julia Vlassov to the 2006 World Junior Pair Title. He has also coached numerous skaters to Regional, Sectional, National, and International titles. Alexander is excited to bring his coaching expertise to the Nashville area and is looking forward to meeting everyone!
Arielle Trujillo - ! A native of Las Vegas, Arielle began skating at age four, naturally since her mom was a coach. A multi-time US National competitor in pairs. After competitive career, Arielle kept her skates on and moved under the spotlights. Arielle has performed around the world in ice shows, including 2 European tours with Holiday on Ice, multiple Royal Caribbean cruise ships, 2 Broadway on Ice tours, and recently guest-starred in Scott Hamilton's Ice Out Cancer event in Las Vegas. Between skating contracts, she has become certified in three styles of yoga and accumulated over 500 hours of training. She is thrilled to be a guest coach, and aims to share her passion for performance, balanced with the "yogi mindset", with all students.

Light jacket or sweatshirt
Skating equipment: Skates, guards, skating apparel, practice attire and exhibition attire, sweater, gloves, tights
Competition music (CDs or digital)
Good pair of running shoes for off-ice training
Ballet, jazz or dance shoes for dance class
Yoga mat or towel
Notebook and pen/pencil
What to Expect
Classes will be divided by level. All coaches will be leading the classes ranging from Moves in the Field, Jump Class, Spin Class and Edge Class. You will all have an opportunity to work with all of our guest coaches and academy staff coaches. Our program is designed to be a free spirited and joyful learning environment. Join us! Make new friends and jump start your summer to success.
Private/semi-private lessons are also available at additional cost with all coaches on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate all, we will only schedule one lesson per coach at first, until all skaters have the opportunity to book, then we will open it up to all additional requests. (Note: Lessons scheduled outside of camp hours on freestyle sessions prior to or after camp are additional fees for FS session)
