Get Out and Learn!

The Nashville Predators Get Out And Learn! (G.O.A.L!) program presented by Erie Insurance is a free on-ice youth hockey series hosted at the Ford Ice Centers.

G.O.A.L! offers children the opportunity to experience the excitement of hockey without the cost of purchasing equipment. Designed for boys and girls ages 4 to 9 years old, this free hockey program will introduce the exciting sport of hockey to kids, while teaching life experiences of teamwork, sportsmanship and self-confidence.

Althought not required, we recommend completion of a Scott Hamilton Learn to Skate course.

Additional Information

G.O.A.L! provides beginner players the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey through five, 45-minute, on-ice sessions. Participants will learn forward strides, stops/starts, turns and crossovers, backward skating, stickhandling, passing and shooting. Each session will encourage participants to actively partake in fun drills geared toward their skill progress. Once the on-ice session is complete, there are hockey programs available at the rinks for continued development.

Participants of G.O.A.L.! will receive instruction by USA Hockey certified coaches and complimentary hockey equipment to borrow for the session. Once the session is over, each participant will take home their official Nashville Predators G.O.A.L.! stick and jersey to keep as a souvenir!

G.O.A.L! is intended for new skaters, not those already in a hockey program. Children currently participating in a league or program are not eligible. Graduates of the G.O.A.L! program may not register for additional sessions.

Girls-Only Session

The Nashville Predators Girls G.O.A.L! program presented by CAT Financial is a free program open to girls ages 4-9. This four-week program provides the exciting opportunity to try hockey for the first time, without the cost of purchasing equipment. Rental equipment must be returned following the last session, but participants are able to keep their G.O.A.L! stick and jersey! Once the on-ice G.O.A.L! program is complete, there are additional girls hockey programs available at Ford Ice Center Bellevue for continued development.
