PWHL with Capitals

Alex Ovechkin and Pierre-Luc Dubois welcomed their visitors to Washington DC during the Montreal Victoire practice on Saturday.

The Washington Capitals forwards stopped by to greet the Victoire while the PWHL team is in Washington for the PWHL’s Takeover Tour.

The Victoire face off against the New York Sirens at Capital One Arena on Sunday.

“Just want to say welcome to DC,” Dubois told the Victoire during practice. “Good luck tomorrow. I think we’re going to be on the plane, but we’re going to try and watch.”

“Welcome, guys,” said Ovechkin. “Good luck.”

Ovechkin and Dubois then swapped signed jerseys with the Victoire’s Marie-Philip Poulin and Catherine Dubois (no relation to Pierre-Luc).

The PWHL brought back the Takeover Tour this season, scheduling 16 neutral site games in 11 host cities across North America, to help expand the league’s reach.
