Miller with son

There was only one person in the world K'Andre Miller wanted to celebrate going to the Stanley Cup Final with.

The Carolina Hurricanes defenseman shared a heartwarming moment with his newborn son after winning the Eastern Conference Final against the Montreal Canadiens at Lenovo Center on Friday.

Sportsnet cameras captured Miller holding his newborn, Kashton, on the Hurricanes bench after the 6-1 win in Game 5. The Hurricanes defenseman had tears in his eyes as he took in the accomplishment.

Miller and his girlfriend, Addison, welcomed Kashton on May 2. A few hours later, the Hurricanes defenseman helped his team to 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Second Round.

It will be Miller’s first Stanley Cup appearance in his first season with the Hurricanes. He played all five of his previous NHL seasons with the New York Rangers.
