DALLAS --Artturi Lehkonen scored two goals in his preseason debut for the Colorado Avalanche, a 3-1 win against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Monday.
Mikko Rantanen, who was also making his preseason debut, had an assist for Colorado. Pavel Francouz made 38 saves. Jake Oettinger made 27 saves for Dallas. Lehkonen scored a power-play goal from the right circle 54 seconds into the third period to give the Avalanche a 1-0 lead. He then made it 2-0 at 12:37 before Nils Lundkvist cut it to 2-1 at 15:24. Evan Rodrigues shot into an empty net with eight seconds remaining for the 3-1 final.
