Former NHL defenseman played 70 NHL games for five teams (BOS, NJD, SJS, MON, TBL),. He captained three different AHL teams and wore the "C" for Providence College as a senior. When his playing career ended, Leach sought an opportunity to coach in Germany.

Fun Facts: Played for five NHL teams, eight AHL teams (including Providence), and four ECHL teams over an 11-season pro career. His uncle, Steve Leach, played five seasons in Boston during his 11-year NHL career. Calls Seattle "one of the best cities" based on the last decade of exploring the Pacific Northwest with his sister, who moved west to Bend, OR, and now lives in Stayton, OR.

What to Know: Served three seasons as an NHL assistant coach in Florida (2017-18 and 2018-19) and Toronto (2019-20), where he coached together with Dave Hakstol as assistants. Joins Kraken from the OHL's Kingston Frontenacs, where he returned as head coach and general manager (2020-21 season canceled). In his first tour with Kingston, his teams notched a record of 111-71-22 and three straight OHL playoff berths. Played four years at Acadia (NS) University, serving as captain for three years.

Fun Facts: His first break in coaching was as an assistant to D.J. Smith for the OHL's Oshawa Generals. Played most of his OHL juniors career for Kitchener Rangers, winning a Memorial Cup in 2003 under Peter DeBoer. First-ever trip to Seattle was after he accepted the Kraken coaching job.

Won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Capitals' coaching staff in 2018. Played club hockey at Bates College in Lewiston, ME.

Fun facts: A major back issue caused him to return home to Maryland for surgery where his mother persuaded him to pursue a career in sports by taking graduate courses in sports management at Georgetown University. An avid fan of baseball. His wife grew up in Bellevue, WA and his father lives in Washougal, WA.

What to Know: Returns to Seattle with the Kraken after five years with AHL Tucson Roadrunners, serving as video coach and hockey operations assistant since the early days of the franchise operating in southern Arizona. Also served in a pre-scouting role for the coaching staff. In his previous position, he worked as a hockey ops assistant with the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds with duties that included recording and logging video for coaches' use between periods and post-game, plus managing players' arrangements with billet families. Served as hockey ops intern with Arizona Coyotes for two seasons (2013-15).

Fun Facts: Raised in Phoenix, earned a business degree at Arizona State. His childhood hero is Hockey Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman.
