PUBLIC TRANSIT OPTIONS

Light Rail

The Light Rail now has stops as far north as Northgate Station and runs all the way to SeaTac Airport. Consider parking at your nearest light rail station and taking advantage of the free public transit pass on game days. Take the Light Rail to Westlake and then hop on the Monorail for the fastest and easiest route to Climate Pledge Arena.

Monorail

The Monorail upgrades are done! The Monorail is a great option to connect from Downtown (Westlake Station) to Seattle Center. Whether you are catching dinner in Downtown or taking the Light Rail to the game -- the Monorail will get you from Westlake Station to Seattle Center in 90 seconds. There are several parking garages near Westlake Station, that make it easy to hop on the Monorail and ride into Seattle Center with other Kraken fans.

The trains arrive every 3-4 minutes and will continue to run 1 hour past the end of the game.

RIDE SHARE

DROP OFF

The best rideshare drop off locations on your way to Climate Pledge Arena will be:

  • The corner of Republican and Warren
  • Museum of Pop Culture turn around
  • The drop off zone on Mercer Street in front of McCaw Hall
  • Drop off zone on Denny Way by the Pacific Science Center

PICK UP

30 minutes following events at Climate Pledge Arena, ride-share vehicles will not be permitted to pick up passengers near the arena.

We suggest walking east on Thomas Street and requesting a premium ride-share vehicle at Thomas Street and Taylor Street (1 block off Seattle Center campus) or continuing to Dexter Ave. (6 blocks off Seattle Center campus) to meet a general ride-share vehicle.

PARKING

If you have to drive, plan ahead! Download the Kraken + Climate Pledge Arena app for the best parking experience. The Kraken + Climate Pledge Arena app will:

  • Display all parking lots available to event goers on a map with availability and pricing information
  • Allow fans to reserve before arrival to the arena in their chosen parking location
  • Allow fans to transfer or cancel their parking reservations if they will not be attending the event
  • Generate a parking pass that can be easily scanned at any of the aforementioned lots

Other options for those looking for parking include parking downtown and hopping on the Monorail to the arena.

You can decide on the proximity to the arena and the price you want to play. Don't waste time searching for a parking spot.

HOW TO ACCESS FREE TRANSIT PASS ON GAME NIGHTS

Your free public transit pass is available for use 2 hours before doors open and 2 hours after the game.

*Note: For multi-leg trips, you will need to redeem a transit pass for each leg -- e.g. when taking transit to Westlake and then getting on the Monorail.

With the Northgate light rail stations recently opened taking light rail and then the monorail will be one of the fastest and most climate friendly way to get to Climate Pledge Arena. In addition, dozens of public transit routes serve Climate Pledge Arena and our surrounding neighborhood. King County Metro and Sound Transit both have excellent trip planners to help you catch the right bus or train.

Don't have an ORCA card? Seattle Kraken will subsidize public transit rides to all their home games by using our app. Fans that take public transit can rest easy knowing that the Monorail will keep running for 60 minutes (or longer!) after the conclusion of all Climate Pledge Arena events and light rail trains run past midnight 7 days a week.

Yes! The monorail offers a 90 second ride from downtown's abundant transit options and inexpensive parking lots and is one of the best ways to get to Climate Pledge Arena events. After a $7M private renovation the Westlake Center Monorail station has a brand new look, sits directly atop the Westlake light rail station and has new fast and easy ways to pay including using your ORCA card. Monorail trains start running early every morning and will run for at least 60 minutes after the end of every event at Climate Pledge Arena. Fans who are looking to find the fastest way home at the end of the night will love the fast trip on the monorail and downtown Seattle's abundant and easy freeway access.

We strongly encourage fans that are driving to pre purchase parking before coming to Climate Pledge Arena. Parking at several of our partnership garages can be purchased on Ticketmaster, on our website, or through the app. Fans will find that we have parking that will work for every price point including great options downtown where you're steps away from the 90 second monorail ride. 

You can easily purchase parking for all Climate Pledge Arena events through Ticketmaster, on our website, or through our app. Pre purchasing parking at the 1st Ave, Arena, 5th Ave, or Mercer parking garages will provide the closest and highest number of accessible parking spaces. However, all of the parking garages affiliated with Climate Pledge Arena will have accessible parking.

Seattle Center has several good drop off locations. The MoPop turnaround, the drop off zone on Mercer in front of McCaw Hall, and the Pacific Science Center drop off zone on Denny Way are all a short walk to the Climate Pledge Arena. For those with accessibility needs, we will allow drop offs on 1st Ave adjacent to the Climate Pledge Arena plaza. Additional drop off is encouraged at the corner of Republican and Warren where patrons can enter the Seattle Center campus through the North Courtyard or August Wilson Way. 

On the way to Climate Pledge Arena rideshare vehicles will be prohibited from dropping people off on 1st Ave, unless they have a passenger with accessibility needs. The best rideshare drop off location on your way to an event will be the corner of Republican and Warren, the MoPop turn around, the drop off zones on Mercer in front of McCaw Hall or the drop off zone on Denny by the Pacific Science Center.

For 30 minutes after events rideshare vehicles will not be allowed to pick up passengers nearby Climate Pledge Arena. At the conclusion of Climate Pledge Arena events, we encourage rideshare passengers to walk east on Thomas Street to pick up a premium rideshare vehicle at Thomas and Taylor street (1 block off Seattle Center campus) or continue to Dexter Ave (6 blocks off Seattle Center campus) to pick up a general rideshare vehicle.

Several great protected bike lanes will get you to Climate Pledge Arena including the 2nd Ave, Mercer, 5th Ave, 1st Ave, and Queen Anne protected bike lanes. Once you arrive at Climate Pledge Arena you'll find more than 60 secure bike lockers (accessible inside the 1st Ave garage using your BikeLink card) as well as more than 150 locations where you can lock your bike to rack. The northeast corner plaza bike parking locations offer good weather protection for those biking and is also where we will host our seasonally available bike valet. For those using a shared scooter or bike to come to Climate Pledge Arena, we'd ask you to park those next to one of our bike racks as you would if you were riding your personal bike to the arena.

Pedestrians will find numerous new improvements nearby including larger/wider crosswalks and sidewalks all around the Seattle Center campus. Climate Pledge Arena has also worked with Seattle Center on a series of significant improvements to lighting and signage on campus to help visitors find their destination more easily and feel safe when they're walking across campus.
