Saves for Vets

The Florida Panthers and Amerant Bank are teaming up to support veterans throughout South Florida.

As the Official Bank of the Panthers, Amerant Bank will donate $40 for each save made by a Panthers goaltender throughout the regular season and playoffs through the "Saves for Vets" campaign. The funds generated by these saves will directly support veteran-focused nonprofit organizations within the South Florida area.

Chairman, Owner & Governor

Since his purchase of the Florida Panthers franchise in 2013, Mr. Viola's leadership, investments in the local community, and dedication to growing the game of hockey in the State of Florida have not only transformed the team's on-ice performance, but also helped to expand interest in the sport across the Sunshine State while making a positive impact in the lives of South Floridians.

A graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne, Air Assault, Infantry, and Ranger Schools, Mr. Viola served as an infantry officer in the 101st Airborne Division, and his dedication to the U.S. military additionally led to his creation of the Florida Panthers' Heroes Among Us program, which has honored hundreds of veterans, and counting, since its inception in 2013.

Matthew Caldwell

President, CEO & Alternate Governor

A U.S. Army veteran and former Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Caldwell first joined the Panthers as Chief Operating Officer in 2014.

A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Caldwell went on to serve five years as a U.S. Army Captain where he conducted combat operations in Iraq, led peacekeeping operations in Kosovo, and trained soldiers preparing for deployment in Germany.

Bryce Hollweg

Chief Operating Officer

Hollweg was named the Chief Operating Officer of the Florida Panthers in July 2022 after serving as the organization's Executive Vice President since April 2021.

Following his graduation from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Hollweg served 10 years as a US Army Officer. His military career included assignments in Belgium, Germany, Afghanistan and South Korea, and culminated as a Professor of Military Science and Leadership at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Rob Stevenson

Executive Vice President of People and Facilities

Stevenson was named Executive Vice President of People and Facilities in July 2022 after serving as the Florida Panthers Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sunrise Sports & Entertainment Facilities for one season.

After graduating from Navy Officer Candidate School, Stevenson served two tours in Afghanistan with SEAL Team TWO, earning a Bronze Star Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army and Navy Commendation Medals. He is currently a Lieutenant Commander serving as an Executive Officer of the SEAL Navy Reserve Unit at SEAL Team Eighteen.
