PAUL EDMONDS
Play-by-Play
Paul is in his 10th season as the radio voice of the Winnipeg Jets. In this role, he has called over 600 games, covered the NHL Draft, produced and hosted countless on-air hockey shows, written columns, blogs and covered each of the team’s six post-season appearances including the exciting run to the Western Conference Finals in 2017-18. His vast hockey broadcasting background also includes notable experience with the Manitoba Moose, Phoenix Mustangs, Colorado Gold Kings, Regina Pats and Selkirk Steelers.
Prior to advancing to the NHL, the Winnipeg product also spent 20 seasons in professional baseball, including 19 as the voice of the Winnipeg Goldeyes. During this tenure, he received several awards such as Baseball Digest’s Broadcaster of the Year, a Toastmasters Communications Award, induction into the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Media Roll of Honour and - most distinctively - a 2019 induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame.
An avid outdoorsman, Paul possesses a tremendous passion for fishing, boating and snowmobiling while enjoying his summers on the Winnipeg River. He and his family reside in St Andrews and are actively involved in local hockey, baseball and animal welfare.
