The Washington Capitals and CACI International Inc. (NYSE: CACI) today announced the launch of Good Dogs for Great Americans, CACI’s signature philanthropy program dedicated to helping veterans regain independence through specially trained service dogs.
Starting with the upcoming 2026-27 NHL regular season, CACI will donate $250 to the national nonprofit America's VetDogs for every Capitals blocked shot, turning defense on the ice into life-changing support for veterans. Based on the team’s average of approximately 1,300 blocked shots each season, the partnership is expected to fund training for up to eight service dogs annually.

Donations made through Good Dogs for Great Americans will help train and place dogs with veterans living with physical disabilities, post-traumatic stress, hearing and vision loss, and other challenges.

Service dogs trained by America's VetDogs help veterans navigate everyday life, increase independence, and improve overall well-being. Each placement helps veterans regain confidence while strengthening their connection to their communities.

The Good Dogs for Great Americans initiative features CACI On Defense, CACI’s season-long activation with the Capitals.
