Fatima Al Ali Drops the Puck, Takes a Selfie

On Thursday, Feb. 9, the Capitals invited Fatima Al Ali to watch warmups from the Capitals bench and participate in a ceremonial puck drop prior to the Capitals game versus the Detroit Red Wings. Al Ali was with the Capitals for an entire week -
attending a Wizards game
, visiting the
Embassy of the United Arab Emirates
, meeting Alex Ovechkin for the first time after
watching the Capitals defeat the Carolina Hurricanes
and getting out on the ice with the Capitals for a
practice with the team
. Of all the amazing moments from her week in Washington, D.C. - her selfie with Alex Ovechkin and Henrik Zetterberg might have topped them all.
