ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals and Monumental Sports & Entertainment Veterans Day auction raised $39,360 for United Heroes League and MSE Foundation.

Auction items included autographed military-themed jerseys that were worn by players during the Nov. 11 pregame skate and autographed camouflage pucks.
Top-selling items included the Alex Ovechkin, Dylan Strome, Tom Wilson and team autographed jerseys, along with the framed, autographed team puck set.
The Capitals honored former service members during the Veterans Day game presented by LiUNA on Nov. 11 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning at Capital One Arena.
United Heroes League actively works to ensure that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in sports. The organization has provided more than $20 million worth of free sports equipment, game tickets, cash grants and summer camps to military families across the United States and Canada.
