PITTSBURGH – The Canadiens announced on Sunday that forward Samuel Blais has been recalled from the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League.

The 29-year-old forward was claimed off waivers by Montreal in late November. Blais had signed a one-year deal on the opening day of free agency with the Canadiens, but was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs in October.

In nine games with the Rocket this season, the Montmagny, QC native has collected nine points (3G, 6A).
