Dylan Peterson is expected to make his NHL debut Tuesday as the St. Louis Blues take on the Ottawa Senators at 6:30 p.m. CT (Blue Note+, 101 ESPN).
Peterson was recalled Saturday night ahead of the team's three-game road trip. The Blues are dealing with injuries to multiple players, including forwards Alexey Toropchenko (upper-body injury, re-evaluated in five weeks) and Dillon Dube (neck, re-evaluated in eight weeks).
A third-round draft pick (86th overall) of the Blues in 2020, Peterson is expected to skate on the fourth line alongside veterans Pius Suter and Ross Johnston.
"I thought he did a great job in training camp showing his speed, showing his physicality, showing his willingness to do anything for the team," said Head Coach Jim Montgomery. "And he builds momentum for us with his big hits and the energy he brings on the bench."
Joel Hofer will get the start in net.
The Blues did not hold a morning skate on Tuesday, so the below projected lineup is based on Monday's practice at Centene Community Ice Center.
