During the March 9 game vs. the Los Angeles Kings, we welcomed United States Navy Retired Lieutenant Commander Paul Vawter.
Having enlisted with the Navy in June 1969, Retired Lieutenant Commander Vawter was first assigned aboard the USS Alexander, where he served as a Missile Technician during six extended submarine deployments. He was later assigned to the USS Patrick Henry, where he served as an Assistant Weapons Officer and Officer of the Deck. During the course of 10 deployments, he accumulated more than three years submerged in submarines before retiring in 1990.
