During the April 4 game vs. the Winnipeg Jets, we welcomed United States Navy Reserve Lieutenant Paul Navarro.
Having enlisted with his twin brother at the age of 17, Lieutenant Navarro served for 24 years as a member of the Navy. Over the course of his career, he was deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and served at key locations across the globe, including China Lake, Fujairah and Jebel Ali in the United Arab Emirates, as well as Isa Air Base in Bahrain. His service has taken him to more than 30 countries worldwide.
For his service, he was awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal, among others.
