During the March 19 game vs. the New York Rangers, we welcomed United States Navy Petty Officer Third Class Jake Kolbus.
From Salt Lake City, Petty Officer Third Class Kolbus enlisted with the Navy in 2003 served as a Hospital Corpsman, Combat/Field Medic and Orthopedic Technician. He oversaw the health care of more than 300 Marines and was in charge of all junior line medics during a deployment to Al Anbar, Iraq, and went on to conduct infantry operations in Western Iraq and provided humanitarian and medical support to local Iraqi nationals.
