AMBER WALZ, Jan. 15, Vancouver

During the Jan. 15 game vs. the Vancouver Canucks, we welcomed United States Air Force Master Sergeant Amber Walz.

From Stockbridge, Michigan, Master Sergeant Walz enlisted with the Air Force in April 2010 as an Aircrew Flight Technician. Stationed in Japan, she participated in life-saving events during the 2011 earthquake and typhoon. She also completed a two-week tour in Thailand, where she participated in joint exercises with the Thai and Singapore Air Forces. In 2013 she was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and she now serves as the senior non-commissioned officer in charge of public health at the reserve wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
