The Columbus Blue Jackets will make their second-straight Stanley Cup Playoffs appearance and fourth in franchise history as they face the Metropolitan Division champion Washington Capitals, the club and National Hockey League announced today. The Blue Jackets, who finished the regular season with a 45-30-7 record (97 pts.), are the first wild card in the Eastern Conference and will take on the Capitals, who went 49-26-7 (105 pts.). It is the first meeting between the two teams in the postseason.
