The Legends Cup

Ever imagined skating alongside Blackhawks legends? Scoring an overtime winner to capture the cup? Drawing up a game saving play with Denis Savard? Now is your chance!

On March 19-22, we will be hosting the second annual Blackhawks Legends Cup! The Legends Cup is an opportunity for adult hockey players to compete alongside Blackhawks Alumni including Denis Savard, Chris Chelios, Eddie Olczyk, Jamal Mayers, Brian Campbell, Ben Eager, Scott Foster and many more! As part of one of the four teams - Team Savard, Team Esposito, Team Hull and Team Mikita - participants are guaranteed to compete in four games as well as one practice and video session. Multiple Blackhawks alumni will play on each team, accompanied by a celebrity coach, in the battle to win the Legends Cup.

It's not just a fantasy camp, it's the Legends Cup.

Highlights include:

  • Pro-quality gear including home and away jerseys (emblazoned with your name and number), gloves, pants shell, a helmet, home and away socks and a custom Warrior Legends Cup stick
  • United Center Bud Light Suite for Chicago Blackhawks vs Nashville Predators on March 22, 2020
  • Private viewing session and meal in Blackhawks Locker Room/Kitchen for March 21, 2020 away game vs Buffalo Sabres
  • Guaranteed two Blackhawks Alumni per team
  • Championship game will be played at the United Center on the Blackhawks home ice
  • All meals and drinks provided Friday-Sunday
  • 4-Night stay at a high-end Chicago hotel (March 19-22)
  • Coach Bus transportation to all events

What do I get to take home?
You will get team issued gear including: Pants, Gloves, Shell, Helmet, Socks, and home and away authentic jerseys. You will also receive exclusive Blackhawks warmups and a swag bag of Legends Cup items.

Does my entry include a ticket to Sundays game?
Yes, the Legends Cup participants will be in the Bud Light Suite for the game vs the Colorado Avalanche on March 24

Can I bring a guest?
Yes, you may bring one guest for an additional fee of $2,000.

The Guest will have access to:

  • Swag bag including exclusive Legends Cup gear and player-signed items
  • Transportation to and from hotel
  • Friday dinner with Alumni
  • Blackhawks Watch Party Saturday inside Blackhawks locker room at MB Ice Arena with Alumni
  • Saturday night dinner with Alumni
  • Stadium Club dinner Sunday night (must have ticket to game)
  • Breakfast Friday and Saturday at hotel
  • Brunch Sunday with Alumni
  • Suite ticket to Sunday night's game
  • Drinks and food included
  • Watch practices and games at MB

Guests will not have access to:

  • Additional hotel room
  • Team issued hockey equipment
  • Playing in any of the games or practices

Can my friends and family come watch the games?
Yes, MB Ice Arena is open to the public and all practices and games will be open for attendance.

Can my guest or a spouse stay in the hotel room with me?
Yes, the hotel room is yours Thursday through Sunday.

What skill level is the Legends Cup?
It will be varying skill, but each team will be balanced based on experience and playing history. B/C level should be expected.

Is this a non-checking tournament?
Yes, this is a no-check tournament with an emphasis on camaraderie and fun.

I am local, do I have to take the hotel room?
Yes, the hotel room is a part of your package. We will have transportation to and from the hotel and recommend staying downtown. You are not required to stay at the hotel but there will be no discount if you don't.

Do I need to be at all games/events?
No, but there is no discount if you miss individual events.

Am I covered for food and drinks throughout the camp?
Yes, food and drinks will be covered throughout the weekend.

Do we play on the United Center Ice?
Yes, the championship game will be played at the United Center.

How will the teams be chosen?
We will be dividing the teams up based on past playing experience and skill level so that they are as even as possible. If you have a few guys entering the tournament, just let us know and we can make sure you are on the same team.

Do I need hockey experience and full equipment?
Yes, you need full equipment and hockey experience. We will be providing gloves, helmet, shell, jerseys, and socks.

What equipment do I need?
Skates, Stick, Pants, Shin Pads, Elbow pads, Cup, (shoulders optional)

Will Alumni be with us throughout the weekend?
Yes, the Alumni players and coaches will be attending as many events as they can throughout the weekend. There are a few scheduling conflicts, but for the most part they will be at all events.

If I sign up this year will I have first access to next year's camp?
Yes, participants in the 2019 Camp will have first access to the 2020 Camp.

How many goalies will be on each team?
There will be one goalie on each team.

I am a goalie, what equipment do I get?
You will get a glove, blocker, shell, and Legends Cup helmet.

How many spots are available? Is it first come, first served?
There are 16 spots available per team. 9 forwards, 6 defense, and 1 goalie. The teams are filled first come, first served.

Can I choose which Blackhawks Alumni plays on my team?
No, but we will try to accommodate requests which can be made on your registration form.
