Below are some Frequently Asked Questions to help you navigate your safe return to Canadian Tire Centre and Ottawa Senators games. Please review prior to purchasing to ensure you can adhere to all venue policies. Additionally, we ask you to remember our ticket takers, ushers and concessions staff are people, too. There will be zero-tolerance for rude or abusive behaviour towards them. If you have an issue, please ask to speak to a supervisor. We look forward to welcoming you back to Canadian Tire Centre to enjoy Ottawa Senators games and live entertainment in a safe and enjoyable environment for all.

Yes. As we continue to follow the guidance and protocols set forth by the Public Health Authorities, it is mandatory for all guests who will be 12 years of age or older by the end of 2021 to have received both shots of their COVID-19 Vaccine.

Yes. Guests must provide proper identification such as a birth certificate, citizenship card, driver's licence, government issued ID card, health card, Indian status card/Indigenous membership card, passport or permanent resident card along with their vaccine receipt.

All protocols will be implemented as of Sept. 12, 2021.

No, all screening will be done prior to scanning a ticket and passing through the venue doors into Canadian Tire Centre.

Yes, masks are mandatory at all times throughout the entire venue, except when actively consuming food or beverage.

It is not required to wear a mask when in an outdoor space. However, once you reach the screening line ups to access the venue, we ask all guests wear a mask for the safety of each other and staff.

Children who will not be 12 years of age by the end of 2021 are exempt from the vaccination policy. However, they must wear a mask at all times, with the exception of when actively consuming food or beverage.

All Ottawa Senators and Canadian Tire Centre staff will be enforcing the mask policy. If you feel uncomfortable or near someone who is not adhering to the mask policy, please inform your usher.

Yes, all full and part time staff at Canadian Tire Centre and with the Ottawa Senators are required to be fully vaccinated as of Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.

All guests are required to wait 14 days after receiving their second dose before being permitted entry to Canadian Tire Centre to comply with Public Health guidelines.

The Ottawa Senators and Canadian Tire Centre will be utilizing the government approved COVID-19 QR code. Until the app is available, please have your vaccination receipt and proof of identity.

Canadian Tire Centre is now a cashless venue. We accept all major credit cards and debit.

Reverse ATMs will be available throughout Canadian Tire Centre where fans will be able to insert cash and receive a physical card that will act like a debit or gift card at all concessions and restaurants within the venue.

The parking lots at Canadian Tire Centre are now also considered cashless. Parking can be pre-purchased through Ticketmaster either as a stand-alone item or as an add-on to a game or event ticket.

Canadian Tire Centre is a mobile ticket venue. As such, guests are required to have their ticket loaded to their phone for entry scan. The lone exception are Season Seat Members and Suite Holders who will receive commemorative physical tickets. While these will be honoured, due to the possibility of last-minute changes to event details, it is recommended to save those as souvenir items and utilize your mobile device for entry.

Yes, all COVID-19 protocols are consistent across the venue regardless of the event.

In conjunction with NHL protocols and for your safety and expedited entry into Canadian Tire Centre, bags are restricted to clutch or wallet style bags smaller than 12"x6"x3" which will be subject to contactless security screening. These bags cannot include a metal or chain style strap and must clear our walk-through metal detectors.

Bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs and camera bags are not permitted. Exceptions will be made for guests who require a bag for medical devices and childcare/diaper bags. Guests who have these bags will be required to enter at Gate 3 (Palladium Dr. and Huntmar Dr., parking lots 3 and 4).

Onsite bag checks will not be available.

Yes. However, Canadian Tire Centre and Ottawa Senators staff are working on a system to expedite Season Seat Member entry until the provincial app is mandated. More information will be communicated once available.

Doors will open two hours prior to puck drop to allow fans who want to avoid line ups to enter the venue at an earlier time. We will also have staff re-directing fans to less busy Gates throughout the venue to help expedite entry.

Ownership has invested more than $8M to swap out old Air Handling Units throughout the venue in exchange for brand new, state-of-the-art, HVAC units. These units maintain twice the quality Air Filtration Specifications as compared to the old system and can also change the inside air to fresh outside air for the entire building up to 20 times per hour.
