Foundation Programs

Stick With Reading

The Dallas Stars Stick with Reading program encourages elementary students to foster a love for reading outside the classroom. Classes with the highest average minutes read each month may be eligible for prizes. Teachers can register their classes throughout the school year to participate in this free, incentive-based program.

Fitness Stars

Bring hockey to your elementary school! Give your 4th and 5th grade classes the opportunity to learn floorball hockey from professionals through the Fitness Stars program. Physical Education teachers can apply for a PE visit from the Dallas Stars Xtreme Team. Students will learn the ins and outs of floorball hockey from NHL alumni during this educational program. Participating schools receive floorball equipment donations to integrate into curriculum.

Future Goals™: Hockey Careers Beyond the Ice

The Future Goals: Hockey Careers Beyond Ice sponsored by the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA), teaches students fundamental career skills by challenging them to solve problems that are faced with people working on building and maintaining rink ice, supporting player performance, engaging fans and running the business side of an NHL Club. The course introduces four key careers in each lesson that illustrate a lesser-known side to professional hockey and challenge students to think like the featured careers to effectively respond to challenging situations.

Adaptive Sports

Dallas Stars Adaptive Sports provides adaptive ice hockey programs for athletes of all abilities, including those with intellectual, emotional, and physical disabilities.

Dallas Stars Adaptive Sports is proud to join the hundreds of teams and thousands of athletes that participate in adaptive hockey programs nationwide, ranging from Learn-to-Plays to weekly/monthly practices and games and regional and national tournaments/events. Adaptive hockey provides a supportive environment for athletes of different abilities to play the game, learn sportsmanship and teamwork, and build friendships and community.

The Community Tickets Program presented by Ticketmaster allows our organization and our Victory Club Members the opportunity to enrich the community by donating their tickets to various charities and civic programs throughout the area.

Victory Club Members and corporations who donate some of their tickets back to the Foundation are eligible for a tax receipt, with their contribution being 100 percent tax deductible. Through the generosity of our Victory Club Members and their ticket donations to the Foundation's Community Tickets Program, many non-profit organizations have the opportunity to spread the excitement of Dallas Stars hockey to their employees, volunteers, and designated beneficiaries.

If you're interested in donating your tickets, please email [email protected].
