Home is where the heart is and here in Oil Country, this couldn't ring more true. Proud supporters of Oil Country, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) has been contributing to our community's heartbeat since 2001. With a focus on programs that support education, health and wellness, and minor hockey programming for youth, the Oilers Foundation is deeply committed to its goal of helping to enrich lives and eradicate social issues while finding long-term solutions to improve our home where we live, work and play.
Since its inception in 2001, the EOCF has contributed more than $33 million to more than 2,700 charities, community groups and minor hockey programs throughout Northern Alberta. Thanks to the generosity of our valued hockey fans, this past 2016-17 season, the Foundation had a record year of giving, donating $3.6 million to charities and minor hockey groups.
Looking ahead, the EOCF will continue its legacy of giving back in Northern Alberta and with the Oilers in their second season at Rogers Place, the Oilers Foundation has plenty more to look forward to in the heart of downtown Edmonton.
In its third season, Hockey Helps Kids continues to connect local schools and the Edmonton Oilers to raise awareness and funds for a variety of charities across Oil Country in order to make positive change in the community.
