Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the current health crisis around the world, the NHL has paused the current 2019-20 season and there continues to be uncertainty as to when the season will resume and when the 2020-21 season will begin. Due to these uncertain times, the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is not currently accepting 50/50 applications for the upcoming season.
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is a proud supporter of Oil Country and has been contributing to our community's success since 2001. With a focus on programs that support health and wellness, education and minor hockey programming for youth, the Oilers Foundation is deeply committed to its goal of helping to enrich lives and eradicate social issues while finding long-term solutions to build strong, vibrant and safe communities.
Since its inception in 2001, the EOCF has contributed over $40 million to more than 2,900 charities, community groups and minor hockey programs throughout Northern Alberta. Thanks to the generosity of our valued hockey fans, Oilers players, the EOCF Board of Directors, Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) employees and the Katz Family, this past 2018-19 season, the Foundation had a record year of giving, donating $4.3 million to charities and minor hockey groups.
Heading into its sixth season, Hockey Helps Kids continues to connect local schools and the Edmonton Oilers to raise awareness and funds for a variety of charities across Oil Country in order to make positive change in the community.
