The Oilers and EOCF are proudly supporting Hockey Talks for the seventh consecutive season. Hockey Talks is an initiative that brings awareness and encourages a conversation about mental health.
The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) is a proud supporter of Oil Country and has been contributing to our community's success since 2001. With a focus on programs that support health and wellness, education and minor hockey programming for youth, the Oilers Foundation is deeply committed to its goal of helping to enrich lives and eradicate social issues while finding long-term solutions to build strong, vibrant and safe communities.
Since its inception in 2001, the EOCF has contributed over $36 million to more than 2,800 charities, community groups and minor hockey programs throughout Northern Alberta. Thanks to the generosity of our valued hockey fans, Oilers players, the EOCF Board of Directors, Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) employees and the Katz Family, this past 2017-18 season, the Foundation had a record year of giving, donating $3.7 million to charities and minor hockey groups.
Looking ahead, the EOCF will continue its legacy of giving back and supporting the life-changing work being done in the community through diverse programs and partnerships.
In its third season, Hockey Helps Kids continues to connect local schools and the Edmonton Oilers to raise awareness and funds for a variety of charities across Oil Country in order to make positive change in the community.
