T1D Advocate Srinika Meets Kaapo Kakko 💙

Srinika Bhagavathula is a Type 1 diabetes advocate and a new Kraken fan. After managing the daily challenges of T1D — including constant monitoring and insulin management — even facing bullying along the way, Srinika chose to use her voice to support others living with the condition.

After the final buzzer, Srinika had the opportunity to meet her favorite Kraken player, Kaapo Kakko, who also lives with Type 1 diabetes — a special moment she won’t forget.

Inspired by Denmark at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, Oscar takes pride in continuing the Danish Lions legacy at Milano Cortina 2026.

Kaapo was a fan watching the Olympic Winter Games as a kid – now he's playing on the world's biggest stage.

The boys wish their Kraken teammates, Philipp Grubauer, Kaapo Kakko, Eeli Tolvanen, and Kraken prospect Oscar Fisker Molgaard, good luck in Milano Cortina as they represent their home nations in the 2026 Olympic Winter Games. 🥇

Kraken head equipment manager, Jeff Camelio, is a hockey lifer. From teenage AHL stickboy to breaking through with his first NHL job in Nashville, and this past summer, bringing home gold at the IIHF World Championships with Team USA, it's been quite a journey. A journey that he's shared with his son, Anthony, who has observed and learned the trade from his dad from an early age.
