The 2026-27 campaign marks Kyle Shohara’s third season with the Seattle Kraken, his first as director, team services and 18th overall in the National Hockey League.
Shohara joined the Kraken in September 2024 as the club's director, communications after spending three years with the Dallas Stars as the team's digital manager (2021-22) and communications manager (2022-24). Prior to his time with Dallas, Shohara was the digital content producer for the Anaheim Ducks from 2013-21. His first full-time role in the NHL was with the Colorado Avalanche where he served as the website/media relations coordinator from 2011-13. He got his start in professional hockey as a public relations game night intern for the LA Kings (2009-10) before working with the Ducks as their media & communications intern for the 2010-11 season.
A native of Gardena, California, Shohara earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach. Shohara is passionate about food, coffee and pop punk.
Shohara and his wife, Katt, reside in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle.
