5️⃣ Things To Know For Today's Game

  1. The Kings will face elimination for the first time this season, as they host the Colorado Avalanche in Game 4 of the opening round of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
  2. Trailing the series 3-0, the Kings will need a win to avoid seeing their season come to an end today at Crypto.com Arena. The series has been competitive, with the Kings losing three times by four total goals, but the Avalanche have won each of the first three games and will look to become the first Western Conference team to advance to Round 2 with a victory today.
  3. Kings forward Trevor Moore scored his team's first 5-on-5 goal of the series in Game 3, as he tied the score midway through the second period. Moore has points in back-to-back games and is tied for second on the Kings in scoring with two points (1-1-2) in three games played in this series thus far.
  4. Los Angeles has scored on the power play in all three games in this series thus far, while remaining perfect on the penalty kill. Those numbers were extended in Thursday's Game 3, as forward Adrian Kempe scored a power-play goal in the third period while the Kings improved to 9-for-9 on the penalty kill by killing both Colorado man advantages last time out.
  5. The hosts are expected to make a pair of lineup changes, with forwards Alex Turcotte and Taylor Ward potentially playing their first games of the series this afternoon. Turcotte has played in three Stanley Cup Playoffs games, all last season, while Ward would be in line to make his NHL postseason debut in Game 4.

Players to Watch

Kings - Artemi Panarin: Panarin continued to produce for the Kings in a low-scoring series as he collected a primary assist in Game 3, extending his playoff scoring streak to four games, dating back to his time in New York. Panarin leads all Kings players with three points (2-1-3) in this series thus far, with all three points coming on the power play.

Avalanche - Gabriel Landeskog: The Colorado captain has found the back of the net goals in consecutive games after he opened the scoring in Game 3 with a first-period goal. Landeskog is tied for the team lead with two goals in the postseason thus far and has now scored 30 playoff goals in his NHL career.
