5️⃣ Things To Know For Today's Game

  1. Coming off an emotional 5-4 overtime win last night in Columbus, the Kings are right back at it this evening in Boston, completing a back-to-back set against the Bruins. Los Angeles moved to within one point of the second wild card position in the Western Conference with yesterday's victory. With another win tonight, the Kings would move back into a playoff spot for the first time since February 1.
  2. Forward Adrian Kempe led the way in Columbus as he scored two goals in the 5-4 win, including the game-winning goal in overtime. The second tally was his fourth overtime goal of the season, tying Anze Kopitar (2015-16) and Jeff Carter (2016-17) for the most in a single season in Kings history. It was also the 11th of his NHL career, equaling Carter's mark for the most all-time by a Los Angeles player.
  3. Forward Anze Kopitar collected the primary assist on Kempe's goal in the second period, as he extended his point streak to four games. The assist for Kopitar was the 1,305th point of his NHL career, as he continues his pursuit of the LA Kings franchise record for points. He enters tonight's game in Boston two points away from tying Marcel Dionne's all-time mark of 1,307.
  4. On the blueline, defenseman Brian Dumoulin was the star of the show against the Blue Jackets, as he tied a career high with three points (1-2-3) in the victory. Dumoulin's goal in the third period was a highlight-reel tally, his second goal of the 2025-26 season, while he picked up three points in a game for the first time since January 21, 2022, when he was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
  5. Look for goaltender Darcy Kuemper to get the start tonight, after Anton Forsberg collected the victory yesterday in Columbus. Kuemper was stellar when these teams met in Los Angeles earlier this season, as he made 24 saves on 26 shots in a 2-1 overtime loss at Crypto.com Arena.

Players to Watch

Kings - Trevor Moore: Moore collected an assist when these teams met in Los Angeles back in November and scored his team’s only goal in Boston during last season’s matchup at TD Garden. Moore also scored the game-deciding goal in Boston in a 3-2 Kings win during 2022-23 season, one of three active Kings with a GWG or GDG over the past seven seasons.

Bruins - Morgan Geekie: Geekie scored both goals in a 2-1 victory against the Kings back in November at Crypto.com Arena, including the game-winner in overtime. Geekie leads his team with 34 goals this season and is tied for sixth in the NHL in goals overall, the second-most by a player in the Eastern Conference.
