Returning Home
The Islanders are back on home ice for the first time since March 1 and just the third time since Feb. 1. Obviously the Olympic break has a lot to do with it, but the Islanders have played eight of their last 11 games on the road.
"It's nice to be home," Anders Lee said. "It'll be great to have our the building behind us, not only tonight, but moving forward. It's been a huge help this season and we expect no different the rest of the way."
After a back-to-back set on Friday and Saturday, the Islanders will depart for a three game road trip through Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. After that, 10 of the final 12 games will be played on home ice.
