LOS ANGELES -- Though the preseason ultimately doesn't mean anything in the standings, the Ducks made sure to end their exhibition schedule with authority. With a tenacious forecheck and relentless puck pursuit, Anaheim hounded LA right from the start in a 3-0 victory over its crosstown rivals. Two goals from Ben Street and Troy Terry in the first period gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead. Then it was Sam Steel's turn, the rookie delivering an insurance marker early in the second period. At the other end of the ice, John Gibson looked to be in midseason form, stopping 32 shots for the shutout win.
