The Devils have placed defenseman Dennis Cholowski on waivers with the intent to assign him to Utica of the American Hockey League.
Cholowski, 27, has played 15 games for the Devils this season, posting one assist. He has played 171 career NHL games, notching 13 goals, 28 assists and 41 points with the Devils, NY Islanders, Seattle, Washington and Detroit.
