OTT-MTL: Game recap | Preseason

TROIS-RIVIÈRES – The Canadiens defeat the Senators by a score of 3-2 in extra time thanks to Cole Caufield’s late-game heroics at the Colisée Vidéotron on Monday as part of Kraft Hockeyville.  

The Senators found the back of the net first, but a Jayden Struble goal and a pair of tallies from Cole Caufield were enough to propel the team to victory. 

Samuel Montembeault and Jakub Dobes shared the workload, combining for 20 saves and conceding a goal each.

Hockey fans from the Mauricie region left the arena with a smile on their faces following the Canadiens’ third preseason win in as many outings.

What’s next

The Canadiens will wrap up their preseason calendar with a pair of split-squad games against the Senators on Saturday, meaning one group of players will face the Sens in Montreal, while the other will travel to Ottawa.
