BOSTON – The Boston Bruins will host their third Centennial Era Night in honor of the “Lunch Pail Athletic Club (A.C.)” (1977-85), presented by Mass General Brigham, on Saturday, December 16 during their home game against the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. at TD Garden.

Led by the iconic Don Cherry, who served as head coach for five seasons in the ‘70s, the “Lunch Pail A.C.” era Bruins were known for their charisma, camaraderie and most notably, their signature grit. A time of transition for the club following the success of the Big, Bad Bruins, the Lunch Pail era boasted the rise of more superstar talent in Boston, such as Rick Middleton, Terry O’Reilly and Brad Park. The late ‘70s Bruins reached two Stanley Cup finals in 1977 and 1978 and created a spectacle for hockey fans throughout New England.

The Bruins will pay homage to this iconic era in club history with a pregame ceremony, highlighted by special appearances from some of the most beloved Bruins alumni from 1977-85. Saturday’s game will also feature special in-arena contests and entertainment that will carry a “Lunch Pail A.C.” theme. In addition, the Bruins will sport their Centennial alternate jerseys for this special match-up. To view the full alternate jersey schedule, click here.

Also on Saturday night, a limited number of ticketed fans will be able to collect the third mini pennant in a series of five, each of which will be given out at turnstiles at various Era Nights throughout the season.

To kick off the “Lunch Pail A.C.” weekend, the Bruins will host their third live recording event for the “Cue the Memories” podcast series, presented by Coors Banquet, with special guests Rick Middleton and Terry O’Reilly on Friday, December 15, at the Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus, Mass., from 5:30-8 p.m. This ticketed event will include a buffet dinner, open bar, access to the live podcast viewing and a meet-and-greet with Middleton and O’Reilly. Limited tickets remain. Fans can purchase tickets by clicking here.

Additionally, fans can shop an exclusive “Lunch Pail A.C.” merchandise collection at the ProShop powered by ’47 and online at BostonProShop.com for a limited time only. The ProShop powered by ’47 will be open all week long, Sunday to Saturday from 12-6 p.m., including one hour postgame on gamedays.
