For the seventh consecutive season, the St. Louis Blues and Ameren Missouri will present the Power Play Goals for Kids program. For every power-play goal the Blues score during the 2021-22 regular season, Ameren Missouri will donate $500 to a local children's charity. The four participating charities, including Super Sam Foundation, CASA of St. Louis, LifeWise StL, and Youth in Need will compete for the public vote to see who will receive the final earnings of the season. Fans can vote for their favorite charity from Dec. 1 to Jan. 31 at www.amerenmissouri.com/blues. The three charities that do not win the final earnings will receive a $1,000 donation from Ameren Missouri.
"Every time the Blues light the lamp on the power play this season, it's not only exciting on the ice, but it's a win for kids," said Marty Lyons, chairman and president of Ameren Missouri. "This season, we are excited to welcome back four former participating charities to join in the Power Play Goals for Kids initiative as we continue Ameren Missouri and the Blues' efforts to help make an impact on the lives of young people and families across the region."
During the 2020-21 season, Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Assistance captured the fan vote and was awarded $18,000 as the Power Play Goals for Kids winner. Since 2015-16 season, Ameren Missouri has donated $80,500 to children's charities through the program.
