Our mission: expose the Illinois community to the game of hockey, introduce the sport to those who have not played, instruct players on the skills of the sport, and enhance the Blackhawks brand within the existing club organizations.
The Blackhawks and Chicago Blackhawks Foundation are proud to present an award named after U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer Eddie Olczyk to support young hockey players in Illinois who may not have the means to play at a competitive level.
The Chicago Blackhawks and MB Ice Arena are excited to launch Golden Coynes, an all-girls development hockey program for ages 6-12 created in partnership with 2018 Olympic Gold Medalist, Kendall Coyne Schofield.
The Little Blackhawks Learn to Play program offers participants, between 5-9 years of age, free head-to-toe equipment, age appropriate instruction and certified coaching, led by NHL Alumni. Information for the 2019 season will be coming soon!
First Stride is the follow up program to G.O.A.L., allowing 4th and 5th grade students with floor hockey experience a chance to take the ice! Each week 360 Chicago Public School Students will visit MB Ice Arena to further their hockey education on and off the ice.
The application for 2019-20 G.O.A.L. clinics is now open. Each school that is selected will receive (2) one-hour clinics from the Blackhawks youth hockey staff, and P.E. teachers are invited to a training session at the United Center.
MB Ice Arena is the practice home for the Chicago Blackhawks and offers community programming, beginner hockey classes, adult hockey leagues, and public skate. The facility is also home to youth and high school hockey clubs, elite level tournaments, and fundraising events.
