Credentials

Season credentials are available only to those media members who cover the team on a regular basis.

To apply for an individual-game credential, please email [email protected] by 5 p.m. the day before a game, and by 5 p.m. on Friday before a Sunday game. All requests for individual game seating should be submitted by the publication editor using a professional email account. Furthermore, freelance photographers will be admitted on an assignment-only basis, which must come from the photo editor. Press box seats are filled on a space-available basis.

Media looking to request credentials for a read game should email [email protected] at least 72 hours prior to puck drop of the requested game.

٭Credentials should be displayed at all times for admission to the press box and postgame media area.

Game-Day Procedures

Media Entrance

Credentialed media can enter the arena through the security entrance, located at the plaza area on the east (Illinois Street) side of the building, aligned with the middle of the parking ramp. Credentials can be picked up at the credential table (located past security) two-and-a-half hours before games or at security before the morning skate.

Media Resources

Resources essential to covering the Buffalo Sabres can be found at Sabres.com/media. Game notes, press clips and NHL stat packages are available for every game. The Sabres will not print any in-game statistics.

Press Meals

A buffet meal will be available for purchase for all photographers, scouts and off-ice officials in the press box. Those wishing to purchase a meal will need to do so using a credit card. Additionally, light snacks will be provided in the press box.

Gameday Media

Sabres media availabilities will take place in the Sabres locker room following morning skate and the game. Head Coach LIndy Ruff will be available in the press conference room (on the left just before entering the locker room hallway) following player interviews.

Internet Access

You can access the "Sabres Media" Network by entering "Season24-25" as the password

Press Box

All media should use the freight elevator, located beyond the credential table, when moving between the Event Level (ground floor, "ER") and the Press Level ("P"). Seating charts are posted throughout the press box to assist in finding designated seating areas.

In the event that the freight elevator is down, all media should use the service elevator located on the west side of the building just past staircase 7A when coming from security. Take the elevator up to the 300 level and enter the concourse, then take a right and use staircase 7A to access the press box. To leave the press box, media may take the same route down or use staircase 7A to go all the way down to the event level. From there, a right hand turn will take you to the security entrance and/or press conference room. POSTGAME ONLY, media may turn left from staircase 7A on the event level to enter the locker room hallway.

Photographers

A photographer assigned to a photo hole position is responsible to ensure that the sliding cover is properly in place over the hole every time game action or players come into close proximity of the photo hole position. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in future photo hole assignments being denied or photo holes being removed alltogether.

Photographers are not allowed in the bench areas for practices or morning skates but may shoot from anywhere in the 100 level of the arena bowl or from photo holes.

Cell Phone Policy

Media is not permitted to take cell phone photos and/or videos of any kind while in the locker room. Cell phones may be used for recording audio of player interviews.

Live Shots

All requests for pre-game live shots should be coordinated through Chrisanne Bellas at (716) 855-4476 to ensure location and transmission. In addition, please let a member of the PR staff know if you will be recording live shots of any kind in the arena. Live shots from the bowl are available to shoot in KeyBank Center until one hour prior to puck drop.

٭There are electrical outlets, ethernet jacks and phone jacks at all seats in the press box, but phone lines are not active unless arrangements are made by calling Ken Dowd at (716) 855-4570
