2008 Jack Adams Award winner Bruce Boudreau is an NHL Network analyst appearing across its studio programming, including the flagship studio show NHL Tonight, offering insight from his decades-long career as a former player and head coach.
Boudreau served as head coach in the NHL for more than 15 seasons, with the Washington Capitals (2007-11), Anaheim Ducks (2011-16), Minnesota Wild (2016-20), and Vancouver Canucks (2021-23). He amassed a career coaching record of 617-342 (.626) in 1,087 regular-season games. Under his leadership, the teams coached by Boudreau finished first in their division in 10 of his first 11 seasons. His best regular season came with the 2009-10 Capitals, who ended their season with a .738 winning percentage. In Vancouver, Boudreau helped improve the 2021-22 Canucks, leading them to a 32-15-10 record after a difficult start.
Prior to his coaching days, Boudreau skated in 141 regular-season NHL games after being selected 42nd overall in the NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played parts of six seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs (1976-82) and later, the Chicago Blackhawks (1985-1986). He also skated in the WHA for the Minnesota Fighting Saints during the 1975-76 season.
