Couturier Foerster

Welcome to the NHL Status Report. Here is the latest lineup/injury news around the NHL.

Philadelphia Flyers

Forwards Tyson Foerster and Sean Couturier will be game-time decisions when the Flyers host the Colorado Avalanche on Monday (7 p.m. ET; NBCSP, ALT). Neither player practiced Sunday. Foerster missed the final 3:59 of the first period of a 3-1 win against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday after being hit in right hand/wrist area by a Drake Batherson shot, but returned in the second. "Evaluated after (the game), he couldn't go on the ice today, so we'll see how he is tomorrow," coach Rick Tocchet said Sunday. Tocchet said Couturier was "banged up a little" against the Senators. Philadelphia also could be without forward Owen Tippett, who didn't practice Sunday after sitting out Saturday because of an upper-body injury. They also are missing forward Travis Konecny (lower body), and defensemen Rasmus Ristolainen (upper body) and Cam York (upper body); Konecny and Ristolainen are on injured reserve. "We're in that stretch right now where we're getting injuries," Tocchet said. "It's hard. I don't know if they're playing tomorrow. It's one of those things. We'll see how it goes tomorrow."

Toronto Maple Leafs

John Tavares is week to week because of a lower-body injury, the Maple Leafs announced before a 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders on Saturday. The forward left a 5-4 overtime loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday at 2:32 of the third period after a collision with Buffalo forward Josh Norris. Tavares remained on the ice for about 90 seconds before getting up and skating to the dressing room under his own power along with a trainer. Tavares had two assists against the Sabres and has seven points (two goals, five assists) in seven games. "John was playing well," coach Jim Hiller said. "That's a tough one for us just on the heels of (defenseman Chris) Tanev (being out) too. Those are two veteran players, so you just have to find a way."

Edmonton Oilers

Zach Hyman scored for the Oilers in a 6-2 win against the Utah Mammoth on Saturday, the forward's first game after missing the previous six with an undisclosed injury. ... Forward Colton Dach had three shots on goal in 16:52 after missing four games and defenseman Jake Walman was plus-1 in 16:34 after missing the past three.
