If you are using Starlink, please ensure you access the app on a mobile device with GPS capabilities not connected to your WiFi. You need to allow the app to detect your location for it to function properly.
Please note that if you are only using a device like Fire TV, which does not support GPS location, the app will not be able to detect your location and may not work as expected.
For best results, please follow these steps:
- Connect your mobile device to your Wi-Fi network.
- Enable GPS/location services on your mobile device.
- Confirm your home location within the app or website to verify the correct Wi-Fi IP and Zip code.
If you’re experiencing issues with location accuracy in our app, please follow these steps to ensure everything is set up correctly:
- Use Your Mobile Device: Ensure you are accessing the app from your mobile phone.
- Enable GPS: Check that location services (GPS) are activated on your device.
- Log in to the App: Open the app and log in to your account.
If the location shown is still incorrect, you can manually update your home location:
- Go to Account > Location > Change Home Location.
- Select your correct home location and then tap Confirm.
Please note that you can change your home location up to twice a year.
If you're using Starlink, please keep the following in mind:
- Disconnect from WiFi: If you’re connected to a WiFi network, disconnect and use mobile data to improve location accuracy.
- Set up HBA: Make sure to set up Home-Based Authentication (HBA) from your phone or web browser while connected to the same Starlink WiFi network that all your TV devices will use.
This is essential to ensure a seamless experience with the service.
