Hockey Fights Cancer

Presented by Regions Hospital

Each season, the Minnesota Wild joins forces with the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association for Hockey Fights Cancer, an initiative to raise money and awareness for hockey’s most important fight.

The Wild celebrated Hockey Fights Cancer Night on Sunday, Oct. 18, bringing the State of Hockey together to honor those affected by cancer and show support for everyone impacted by the disease.

Military Appreciation

On November 7, 2026, the Minnesota Wild will celebrate Military Appreciation Night as the team takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning. The evening will feature special tributes recognizing military members and veterans for their service.  Fans can also show their support through an exclusive Military Appreciation Ticket Pack, featuring a military-branded sweatshirt, with a portion of every ticket sold benefiting Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Minnesota. The evening will be a celebration of service, sacrifice and gratitude throughout the State of Hockey.

Mental Health Awareness

On March 19, 2025, the Minnesota Wild partnered with PCL Construction to host the 5th Annual Hockey Talks, a program aimed at raising awareness for mental health. The pre-game event featured Erik Westrum, an Alumni of the Minnesota Wild and a mental health advocate, who shared his personal journey with depression and the importance of creating a culture that encourages open conversations about mental health. Proceeds from the program benefited The Ranch – Teammates For Life, a nonprofit dedicated to positively impacting the lives of veterans, athletes, and others in need of support.
