Girls Hockey Weekend celebrates all levels of the game across an entire weekend of activities including try hockey clinics, jamboree-style tournaments, and off-ice experiences. The event is intended to attract girls hockey players from all over the region to embrace, enrich, and strengthen the female hockey community.
The New York Islanders Girls Elite Hockey program was established in 2016 by Alexis Moed in conjunction with the New York Islanders and the Northwell Health Ice Center. Located in East Meadow, NY the program is committed to the support and development of girls ice hockey on Long Island and in the NY metropolitan area.
We currently offer teams for girls ages 8-19 years old with an emphasis on skill development in combination with competitive league game play. We are a USA Hockey and NYSAHA sanction program and field multiple teams at the 8u, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u and 19u level.
Eight one-hour sessions for girls learning to play hockey with equipment included for $295.
Girls ages 5-10 can participate in this program that is taking place at Islanders Iceworks.
