PAUL EDMONDS

Play-by-Play

Paul is in his 10th season as the radio voice of the Winnipeg Jets. In this role, he has called over 600 games, covered the NHL Draft, produced and hosted countless on-air hockey shows, written columns, blogs and covered each of the team’s six post-season appearances including the exciting run to the Western Conference Finals in 2017-18. His vast hockey broadcasting background also includes notable experience with the Manitoba Moose, Phoenix Mustangs, Colorado Gold Kings, Regina Pats and Selkirk Steelers.

Prior to advancing to the NHL, the Winnipeg product also spent 20 seasons in professional baseball, including 19 as the voice of the Winnipeg Goldeyes. During this tenure, he received several awards such as Baseball Digest’s Broadcaster of the Year, a Toastmasters Communications Award, induction into the Manitoba Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association Media Roll of Honour and - most distinctively - a 2019 induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame.

An avid outdoorsman, Paul possesses a tremendous passion for fishing, boating and snowmobiling while enjoying his summers on the Winnipeg River. He and his family reside in St Andrews and are actively involved in local hockey, baseball and animal welfare.

MITCHELL CLINTON

Colour Analyst

A born and raised Manitoban, Mitchell Clinton brings his 10-plus years of experience covering the Winnipeg Jets into the booth to form one half of the 680 CJOB broadcasting duo, providing colour commentary to Paul Edmonds’ play-by-play each and every game day.

Since his first day reporting on the Jets in 2013, Clinton has been a constant presence around the room providing fans with in-depth reporting as well as feature stories. He’s appeared on live pre and post-game shows as both a host and analyst, and has covered all of the team’s playoff appearances since relocating to Winnipeg in 2011 - including the memorable run to the Western Conference Final in 2018.

On a league level, he’s had the privilege of bringing fans an inside look at league events such as the 2016 and 2019 Heritage Classics, the 2018 Global Series in Helsinki, Finland, as well as the NHL Awards and numerous NHL Drafts.

His broadcasting career has seen him pop up in rinks all over Manitoba, providing analysis at the Manitoba Junior Hockey League level and alongside Manitoba Moose play-by-play voice Daniel Fink in the American Hockey League.
