MTL@NYR: Game recap

NEW YORK CITY – Cole Caufield scored his second of the night with five minutes to play to secure the Canadiens’ seventh consecutive win on Thursday in New York. 

Alex Newhook opened the scoring in the second period before Caufield doubled Montreal’s lead heading into the final frame. 

Jacob Fowler successfully thwarted the Rangers’ comeback attempt, stopping 22 shots for his eighth win of the season.
