MONTREAL – The Canadiens dropped a 4-3 decision to the Anaheim Ducks at the Bell Centre on Sunday.

Cutter Gauthier’s winner with 2:30 remaining was the difference in a heartbreaking loss for Montreal.

Cole Caufield inched closer to the 40-goal plateau with his 39th of the season on Sunday, while Alex Newhook and Nick Suzuki also found the back of the net against the Ducks.

Jacob Fowler made 24 saves in the loss.
