Scouting Staff

P. J. Axelsson is in his sixth season with the Bruins scouting department. Based out of Sweden, he scouts amateur prospects in Europe and North America. He played 797 NHL/Bruins games from 1997-2009 with 103-184=287 career totals. He then returned to Sweden, playing his final five seasons with Frolunda from 2009-13.

Jeff Barratt is in his first season with the Bruins organization. Based out of Michigan, he scouts amateur prospects in the United States while supplementing coverage in Ontario. He comes to the Bruins with 30 years experience in coaching and scouting, most recently as an assistant coach with the OHL's Sarnia Sting for the past three seasons.

Alain Bissonnette is in his fourth season with the Bruins organization. Based out of Quebec, he scouts amateur prospects in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He comes to the Bruins following 18 seasons as a head scout in the QMJHL, most recently with Shawinigan, with whom he won a Memorial Cup in 2012.

Dennis Bonvie is in his fourth season in the Bruins organization. He is a professional leagues scout based out of Pennsylvania. He played 963 professional games, mostly at the AHL level, including 92 NHL games with Edmonton, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston (1-2=3 totals in 2001-02) and Ottawa.

Adam Creighton is in his 18th season in the Bruins organization. He is a professional leagues scout based out of Ontario. He played 708 NHL games over 14 seasons with Buffalo, Chicago, NY Islanders, Tampa Bay and St. Louis.

Scott Fitzgerald is in his 13th season in the Bruins organization. Based out of Boston, he scouts collegiate prospects throughout North America with an emphasis on college players. Prior to joining the Bruins organization in 2006, he served as an area scout for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Brett Harkins is in his third season in the Bruins organization. A part-time scout based in Ohio, he scouts prospects currently playing at the college level. He played 15 professional seasons at the NHL (Florida, Boston and Columbus), AHL and IHL levels in addition to Europe, including 45 games over two seasons with the Bruins (4-15=19 totals in 1994-95 and 1996-97).

Doug Leaverton is in his second season in the Bruins organization. A full-time scout based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, he scouts prospects in the United States. He joins Boston after serving the 2016-17 season as Director of Player Personnel for USA Hockey's National Team Development Program. He played college hockey at Colorado College and also served for three seasons as head scout and assistant coach of the USHL's Cedar Rapids club.

Matt Lindblad is in his third season in the Bruins organization. He is a professional leagues scout based out of California. Signed as a free agent by Boston in 2013, he played two seasons in the Bruins organization, including four games in Boston, before finishing his playing career with Hartford/AHL in 2015-16.

Jan Ludwig is in his first season in the Bruins organization. Based in the Czech Republic, he scouts throughout Europe. He most recently served as a scout for the New Jersey Devils.

Dean Malkoc is in his 12th season in the Bruins organization. He scouts amateur prospects in Western Canada. He played four NHL seasons with Vancouver, Boston (73 games from 1996-97 to 1997-98) and NY Islanders.

Mike McGraw is in his 17th season in the Bruins organization. Based out of Minnesota, he scouts high school and college prospects in the Midwest U.S. as well as the United States Hockey League.

Tom McVie is in his 25th season in the Bruins organization, his 19th in a scouting capacity. Based out of Washington state, he scouts professional leagues on the West coast.

Victor Nybladh is in his third season in the Bruins organization. He is based in Sweden and will scout amateur prospects in Europe. He joined the Bruins scouting staff following four seasons as a European scout with the Buffalo Sabres.

Erkki Rajamaki is in his fourth season with the Bruins organization. Based out of Finland, he scouts amateur prospects in Europe. He enjoyed a 15-year career played mostly in Finland but including one season with Worcester in the AHL. He was a European scout for Pittsburgh for the two years prior to joining Boston's staff.

Blair Reid is in his fifth season in the Bruins organization. Based out of Alberta, he scouts amateur prospects in western Canada.

Matt Ryan is in his second season in the Bruins organization. Based in Ontario, he serves as a regional amateur scout covering the Ontario Hockey League. He played 11 pro seasons, mostly at the AHL level and in Europe, but including 12 NHL games with the Los Angeles Kings in 2005-06. He retired as a player following the 2014-15 season and was previously a scout with the NHL's Central Scouting Bureau.

Svenake Svensson is in his 28th season in the Bruins organization. Based in Sweden, he scouts throughout Europe.

Bob Wetick is in his fourth season in the Bruins organization. Based out of Toronto, Ontario, he serves as a regional amateur scout covering the Ontario Hockey League. He came to the Bruins organization following 17 seasons as Director of Scouting for the OHL's North Bay Battalion.
