Steve Konroyd is in his 14th season as the pre- and postgame Television Studio Host on NBC Sports Chicago. He also fills in as the Television Color Analyst.
During his 15-year NHL career, the defenseman registered 41 goals and 195 assists in 895 NHL games with Chicago (1988-1992), Calgary (1980-86; 1995), N.Y. Islanders (1986-88), Hartford (1992-93), Ottawa (1993-94) and Detroit (1994). He was also a member of Team Canada in 1985 and 1991, winning two silver medals at the World Championship.
After his playing career, Konroyd was named the first-ever Radio Color Commentator for the Arizona (Phoenix) Coyotes in 1995. The following year, Konroyd served as TV Color Analyst for the San Jose Sharks, where he won a 2000 Northern California Emmy for his on-camera work. While working for the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2004, he was awarded his second Emmy. Konroyd also worked for ESPN International as a sideline reporter during the 2000 Stanley Cup Final.
Konroyd and his wife, Juli, a Chicago native, have five children: Danielle, Emily, Declan, Braelyn and Stephen.
