Wild Recalls Gustav Olofsson From Iowa Wild

The Minnesota Wild has recalled defenseman Gustav Olofsson (pronounced GOO-stahv OH-lawf-suhn) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Olofsson, 21 (12/1/94), has recorded six assists and 45 shots on goal in 29 games with Iowa this season. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 19 at Boston and has skated in two games with Minnesota this season averaging 9:12 in TOI/game. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound native of Boras, Sweden, has collected seven points (1-6=7) and 57 shots on goal in 38 career AHL games with Iowa. Olofsson was selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft and wears sweater No. 23 with Minnesota.
