The Minnesota Wild has reassigned forward Kurtis Gabriel to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Gabriel, 22 (4/20/93), was recalled by Minnesota on Oct. 24 and did not appear in a game. He has skated in three games with Iowa this season and has recorded 20 points (9-11=20) and 142 penalty minutes (PIM) in 78 career AHL contests. He led Iowa in PIM and ranked third in goals and scoring by a rookie in 2014-15. The 6-foot-4, 212-pound native of Newmarket, Ont., was originally selected by Minnesota in the third round (81st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Minnesota hosts the Edmonton Oilers on Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. on FOX Sports North and KFAN 100.3 FM.
